Mariana Telles da Silva Homem de Mello was born in Porto on November 3, 1974, having always lived in Lisbon.
In 1992 she attended the Drawing course at the National Society of Fine Arts in Lisbon and, a few years later, in 2008, she attended another Painting course.
She has always been painting and drawing. Her painting was, during the first years, figurative and expressionist. In 2015 she began a new, abstract phase, with works that, in mind, do not present any preconceived aesthetics, subconsciously creating her layered painting through spontaneous and expressive gestures.
Being a creative person, never had the need to focus on a specific method, but on a variety of techniques, materials and approaches through inspiration.
Her paintings are in private collections in several countries such as Spain, Italy, Germany and the United States of America.
Online, she is represented at Singulart Gallery, Saatchi Gallery and Artmajeur.
She uses various types of materials such as acrylic, oil, pastel and charcoal.
